ABOUT CESTOUR PROJECT
CESTour (Centers of Excellence in sustainable tourism to boost economic development and enhance university-business cooperation in Southern Area) is funded by the European Union, more specifically by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education. The primary aim of the project is to install centers of excellence for sustainable tourism at seven (7) universities in India, Nepal & Sri Lanka to share the concept of sustainable tourism on a regional and national level to create a positive impact for tourism development. Sustainable tourism practices can lead to a stronger awareness in society about the importance of preserving heritage, environment and people and contribute to national/regional development.

Prof. Jarkko Saarinen
University of Oulu, Finland
Dr. Jarkko Saarinen is a Professor of Human Geography (Tourism Studies), University of Oulu, Finland, and a Distinguished Visiting Professor, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He also serves as Visiting Professor (Sustainable Destination Development) at the Uppsala University, Sweden.
His research interests include sustainable development, tourism and development, responsibility in tourism, tourism-community relations, tourism, resilience and climate change adaptation, political ecology and community-based natural resource management. He has been working extensively in the peripheral areas of the Arctic and southern African regions. His recent publications include co-authored and co-edited books: Climate Change and Tourism in Southern Africa (2022, Routledge); Southern African Perspectives in Sustainable Tourism Management (2022, Springer); Tourism, Change and the Global South (Routledge, 2021); Resilient Destinations (2019, Routledge); and Borderless Worlds for Whom? (2019, Routledge). He is recipient of John Rooney Award 2020 for outstanding applied contributions to the discipline of tourism geography by Association of American Geographers (AAG), Ragnar Hult Medal 2013 for the contributions to geographical research and knowledge by Geographical Society of Finland, and AAG’s Roy Wolfe Award 2013 for outstanding academic contributions to the discipline.

Mr. Vinod Zutshi is known as catalyst of Tourism industry of India. He has been secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. He has served many states with longest stint with Government of Rajasthan with his contributions in Tourism, Public Policy & Administration, Management and Election & Democratic Governance.
Mr Zutshi has been secretary, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India; Vice Chairman, National Tourism Advisory Council, India; Chairman PATA Chapter India; Board Member, PATA; Chairman, NCHMCT; Chairman, Board of Governors, IHM, Pusa; and Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, IITTM. In tourism sector, his contributions is immense through his stints as secretary, Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; secretary, Civil Aviation, Govt. of Rajasthan; commissioner, Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; chairman & managing director, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation; and CMD, Rajasthan State Hotels Corporation. Mr Zutshi serves in Boards of many companies, universities and mentor of sustainability initaitives, including Advisory Board of Centre of Sustainable Tourism and Development at BIMTECH. He is serving to many chambers, universities and not for profit to share his expertise to develop tourism and sustainable tourism industry in India. Mr. Zutshi is an Alumni of Harvard Kennedy School and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. He is also an Advocate enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi.

Associate Professor, FHJ University of Applied Science, Austria
Dr. Harald A. Friedl is Assoc. Professor for Ethics and Sustainability in Tourism at FH JOANNEUM – University of Applied Sciences, Institute for Health and Tourism Management in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria, where he coordinates the Master program “Sustainable Tourism and Management”. He holds a doctorate in philosophy with a focus on the ethics of ethno-tourism using the example of the Tuareg nomads in the Central Sahara.
His applied approach to tourism has been influenced by his twenty years of working as an adventure tour guide alongside his research and teaching. His current research focuses on the ethical problems of flights in times of global warming and on ways to influence (political) systems for defossilisation. He is co-founder of the international think tank “Action for Climate in Tourism Network” (ACTnetwork) together with Susanne Becken (Griffith Institute, Univ. Brisbane, AUS), Daniel Scott (Univ. of Waterloo, CND) and Paul Peeters (Univ. of Wageningen). He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Tourism Panel on Climate Warming.

The conference invites proposals for organizing special tracks or sessions and encourages Research Networks and Special Interest Groups to send interest. A track/session with 4-5 papers is expected participation. All accepted proposals will be presented on conference website for promotion
PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
All Abstracts: All abstracts proceedings of the conference will be published for dissemination purpose.
Full Papers/Cases: Full papers and cases as recommended by Review Committee will be eligible for publication in an Edited Book to be published by Bloomsbury Publications, India. Conference is also working to associate journals to consider the papers for publication, the norms of publication will be guided by the journal.
Academic Ethics: Articles submitted to the conference should report original and previously unpublished findings. Following ethical conduct is very critical in the academic world. A plagiarism check will be conducted for all submitted manuscripts.

Registrations Guidelines
There is no registration fees for participants as this is covered by CESTour project, partially funded by EACEA, European Commission. All expenses on participation, refreshments and lunch, and meetings are born by the project. All delegates participating in the conference at Greater Noida (national capital region) need to bear all other expenses such as travel, accommodation etc. BIMTECH will try to organise and help for affordable accommodation for participants in campus or outside in nearby locations.

STEP 1 – Submission of Extended Abstract
You are invited to submit EXTENDED ABSTRACT, upto 500 words, by 30 October, 2023. Pls mention 3-5 keywords.
Abstracts must be submitted in a Word file with a font size of 12 in Times New Roman and must be double-spaced.
The acceptance of the abstract will be notified within 2 weeks of submission. All accepted Abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Proceedings.
STEP 2 – Guidelines for Submission of full paper
A. Research papers
Research papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, experimental, applied and theoretical work or research. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
All contributions must adhere to the APA 7th edition referencing style, with a font size of 12 in Times New Roman and must be double-spaced in a Word file.
Full paper submissions must be no less than 5,000 words and no more than 7,000 words, excluding references.
All manuscripts will be subject to double-blind peer-review and are expected to meet the scientific criteria.
The text should be in English. American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of both.
Tables, figures, and appendices should be placed at the end of the document after references. In the text indicate the places for tables and figures (e.g., Insert Table 1 here).
