The aim of this study is to review export performance (EP) research of over 50 years by using bibliometric analysis. A total of 2272 relevant articles published during 1966-2022 on export performance were retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science databases by using a scientific procedure. Bibliographic coupling is employed to reveal the number of clusters. The result shows the constant rise in the number of publications on export performance. The United States of America and the United Kingdom are the most influential developed countries in export performance research while India and China are in top among the emerging economies. Further, the bibliometric coupling resulted six clusters; measures of export performance (EP), role of mediating variables in EP, innovation and green initiatives in EP, strategic orientation in EP, importance of MSME’s in EP, and review of research in EP. Comparatively, this study provides comprehensive research trends on export performance.
