This issue of the Journal of Futuristic Sciences and Applications presents a number of interesting topics ranging from Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and IDMA Network Connectivity to distinct fibres for concrete usage.

Sources of natural sand for use as an aggregate in concrete in construction are becoming scarce as sand pits are exhausted and environmental legislation prevents dredging. Thus, the research paper titled ‘Effect of Fines in Sandstone Manufactured Sand Concrete’ by Prashant Kumar Singh and Chandra Shekher Giri attempts to provide a viable solution for this problem.

Following this paper is Minakshi Kaushik’s ‘IDMA Network Connectivity With Coordinated Relaying Beamforming’ which proposes a new method of achieving geographic variety using cooperative relays in conjunction with IDMA to produce dispersed beams. Throughput in wireless networks is something that can perhaps be improved with this combo.

The purpose of storing energy is to capture it and make it available for future demand. The Energy storage system (ESS) is not a new thing but the hybridisation in the storage systems is the upcoming trend. For hybrid vehicles, the hybrid energy storage systems are also configured. The ESS is the upcoming concept in transportation and Chitvan Gupta and Ram Bichar Singh’s paper titled the ‘State of Charge Based Comparative Assessment of Energy Storage Systems’ discusses the various potential ESS’.

Anurag Kumar and Utkarsh Singh in their paper titled ‘Multi Carrier PWM and Selective Harmonic Elimination Technique for Cascade Multilevel Inverter’ presented the multi carrier pulse width modulation (MCPWM) and selective harmonic elimination (SHE) method for lowering the overall harmonic distortion in the output voltage of a cascade multilevel inverter (CMI).

Analysing the C-dump converter’s design are Rajesh Tiwari and K. Rama Krishna in the next research paper titled the ‘Simulink Modelling of C-Dump Converter Employed in Switched Reluctance Motor.’ The C-Dump converter makes it possible for the phase winding to be rapidly demagnetized and magnetised, which prevents the motor from being used in the generating state. Additionally, Bibhuti Sharan and Ashish Malik elucidate the ‘Soft Switching Technique in Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for Hybrid Electric Vehicle’ and how it is challenging to charge the battery during soft switching.

It is general knowledge that "Concrete Building" is the most effective and durable construction method owing to the fact that it can be retrofitted and recover strength. As a result, many investigations into concrete and its constituent parts have been conducted in order to add value. Therefore, Prakash Singh and Arun Serawat contribute to the discourse in their paper titled ‘Distinct Fibers for Concrete Usage: Review.’

Another interesting paper by Dhirendra Pratap Singh titled ‘Dry drilling of CFRP with a Ti-AIN Nano-Coated Drill Bit has A Major Impact on Machine Parameters and Hole Quality’ uses the influence of machining on Hand-laid CFRP plates. In this case, the parameters Speed, Feed, and Cutting Tool were used to monitor a CNC drilling machine. Both a TiAlN nano-coating and an uncoated 14mm High-Speed Steel (HSS) drill bit were used.

Shailendra Dwivedi and Shashank Saxena’s ‘An Investigation of the Thermal Individuality of Complex Polymers by the Use of Micro-Filled Erbium Oxide’ describes a study that focuses on the individuality of compound polymeric constituents. The study includes a material description, experimental results, and test results for the physical, mechanical, and microstructure of "Epoxy" and "polypropylene" composites containing erbium oxide particles of micron-sized dimensions.

Following the aforementioned, a way of sharing knowledge via open space or Wi-Fi medium, wireless technology has a significant impact on the process of development. Ashish Kumar Srivastava’s study titled ‘A survey of High Demanding Recent and Future Technologies in terms of Wireless Communication System’ introduces wireless technology while also attempting to concentrate on a few of the latest findings hotspots.

Lastly, in the planning process, wireless network has a considerable influence on the sharing of information through open space or Wi-Fi. Nitendra Kumar Tiwari and Bhanu Pratap Rai’s study titled ‘Analyses of Existing and Prospective Technologies for 5G Wireless Communications’ describes wireless technology, but also tries to focus on a few of the most recent research discoveries.

We hope this issue piques our readers’ interest and is illuminating with the diverse range of topics it presents. We are extremely grateful for their support.
