This research examines the application of the ancient Indian philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) in global commerce. It explores how this inclusive worldview can influence modern business practices, promote sustainability, and foster international cooperation. Through a literature review of historical texts, academic articles, and case studies, the study highlights the impact of integrating these principles into global trade. Key findings indicate that ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ can enhance ethical sourcing, equitable growth, and environmental sustainability. Case studies reveal its successful application across sectors, yielding benefits such as improved stakeholder relations and long-term economic stability. The research suggests that adopting this philosophy can create a framework for harmonious and sustainable economic practices, aiding businesses and policymakers in fostering an inclusive and ethical global economy. By linking ancient wisdom to contemporary challenges, the study contributes to the discourse on ethical globalisation and sustainability.
