Epitome of ‘Leadership’ for Learning Organizations

Purpose: What kind of leadership style would be most appropriate for a Learning Organization? Design/Methodology/Approach: The present research work is purely on secondary data, and conceptual in nature. The roles which the leaders have to perform in a learning organization and the various kinds of leadership styles have been discussed to reach to the conclusion. Findings: It is evident from the research that the vision, attitude and functions of leadership in a learning organization more or less resembles to Transformational Leadership excepting that it needs to be supplemented by specificity of attitude and operational philosophy as may be possessed in respect to the employees of the organization. Research Limitations: This paper is entirely descriptive in nature, and based on secondary data. Therefore, the result could have been defined in a better way if some primary data would have also been taken into study alongwith application of suitable statistical tools. Managerial Implications: Learning organization may apply these leadership styles to do great jobs and delivery in their organizations. Originality/Value: learning organization need to be headed by ‘Gracious Transformational Leaders.’
